IT TAKES MUCH MORE THAN A VILLAGE
We need your support now more than ever!
The World Police & Fire Games is the World’s Largest Multi-Sport Experience after the Summer Olympics. New York City will host the 2011 Games from August 26, 2011 through September 5th, 2011. 18,000 Firefighters and Police Officers will compete in 68 Sporting Events in 35 Venues representing 70 Countries.
The 2011 Games will share a unique part of history as they coincide with the 10th anniversary of 9-11. This historic moment will uniquely be marked with a Remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001 and an opportunity for all New Yorkers to express Gratitude for the international support that flooded into New York City. Ten years later, all eyes will be focused as we take this opportunity to celebrate the best of human achievement and shine a much deserved spotlight as our global community of first responders come together in the 2011 World Police & Fire Games in New York City.
The 2011 Games will provide a way to Celebrate Humanity through Sport as we join together during this historic time in our city.
It takes a lot more than a village to produce an event of this magnitude. Contributions that you can make are not always measured in monetary figures. We are looking for individuals who are willing to donate their time as volunteers. These individuals are the ones who become the face of the Games and make our event shine. You can contribute to the success of our event by competing in one of our 68 sports. Competition is what makes our Games thrive and challenges our athletes to the very edge of their capabilities. Finally, your generosity can also be measured as financial support. By donating to our organization, you will assist in securing the funds necessary to make this event an unparalleled experience for everyone involved.
This is your chance to be a part of history by helping those who have spent their lives helping others. We greatly appreciate your support, regardless of the form or level at which you contribute. Thank you.
