The fourth annual benefit Gala, held on February 4th 2009, proved to be our greatest event yet. The New York Marriott Marquis proved to be the perfect backdrop for the evening which hosted nearly 500 guests.

The night began with the 2011 World Police and Fire Games announcing the first founding partnership with Anheuser Busch, and the first bronze medal sponsor, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield. John Falherty once again displayed great poise throughout the evening by handling the duties of emcee, and auctioneer. Steiner Sports proved its generosity by again donating much of the proceeds from the silent auction to the games.

The support from everyone in attendance was evident in the contributions received from both the silent and live auctions. Our list of honorees has expanded every year and continues to include many notables from both the local and worldwide business community. This year we were privileged to include among our honorees, Anheuser Busch , represented by Mike Thompson, Vice President of Sports Marketing, Mark Wagar, President and CEO of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, John Catsimatidis, Chairman and CEO of the Red Apple Group, Rusty Staub, and Mary Wittenberg, President and CEO Race Director, ING NYC Marathon.

In addition to many attending notables, members of the 2009 (British Columbia), and 2013 (Belfast) organizing committees traveled a great distance to show their support for both the games and us.

A great time was had by everyone and we look forward to the future. Please join us in British Columbia this summer as we support their endeavor, and we look forward to seeing you in New York in 2011.
